Check out the Merry Patterns Host set with a qualifying order!!!
Today's card is simple thank you. Here I am going with gray and pink again.  I love these two colors together.  I am not for sure if I like pink and gray better or gray and yellow.  Hmmm, I may need to do this exact card but in yellow and see which one I like better.

Dusty Roads

Today I am starting a new idea where on Tuesdays I will show a current stamp set along with a retired stamp set.  It's going to be called "Dusty Roads".  Just like traveling on dusty roads we are going to be dusting off some old stamps to use along with current ones.  I just want you to realize that you can still use your old stamps along with current ones.  Nothing wrong with mixing it up a bit.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out the card. If you ever have any questions

New to Stamping?

This was a card I did for a sketch challenge.  I love playing with sketches.  It always gives me a solid foundation to work with when I am having a brain fart.  When I can't figure out what I want to stamp I start looking at sketches and before you know it - the card just starts coming together.  This is a simple card that you can make it no time flat.

If you are new to stamping this is a wonderful card to start with.  Very few layers and one stamp.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.  It will surely bring a smile to someone.

The whisper white card base if a half of a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper.  When cut in half the paper will measure 8 1/2 x 5 1/2.  I score it at 4 1/4 and fold in half with my bone folder.  That way you get a nice crisp fold.

The Calypso coral measures 4 1/8 x 5 3/8.  The printed designer paper measures 4 x 4. Stamped the sentiment on some whisper white. The circle I punched with the 2 1/4 inch circle punch.  Tied some ribbon to the card.  Added some dimensionals to the back of the circle and centered onto the card.

Keeping It Thrifty, Blog Hop 1

Image may contain: text

When I make cards and need to use a punch or use a framelit I try to use a piece of cardstock that I have already used with the card.  In the first picture here I punched out the scalloped circle and put it behind the white Season's Greetings.  The scalloped circle came from the first layer on my card.  I put black on top of the red layer so no one will know unless you took it apart.  I have been doing this for years and no one has found out so shhhh don't tell!

Another idea I use to save money is all my cards are 1/2 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11.  I cut them to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and fold them in half.  White cardstock is cheaper than colored cardstock.  I can also get more cards out of a pack of paper than if I used the color cardstock for the card base.

Pretty in Pink

There is just something about pink and gray that makes a card shine.  I just love that color combination.  That is what inspired me to make this card.

This is another quick and easy card.  The hardest part of this card is remembering to use your embossing buddy on the paper before you emboss. lol. I embossed the flowers on the background in white and used the basic gray for the sentiment. Stamped two daisies in Pink Pirouette, glued them together to look more full.  Added a gemstone to the middle, added a small piece of gray ribbon and you are done.
